Erasmus Mundus programme "European Forestry"
Wageningen University cooperates in a joint Erasmus Mundus programme "European Forestry". The programme consists of one year in Europe (coordinated by the University of Joensuu in Finland) and a second year in Wageningen.

The MSc EF provides academic education in forestry focusing on the international dimension of sustainable forest management issues. The programme is an extra dimension to the already existing educational markets in forestry and nature management in Europe. In this programme, European forestry universities collaborate intensively to offer joint courses as well as their existing curricula, based on the knowledge and experience of forest management for which European Forestry was the cradle centuries ago.

The international dimension of the programme is strengthened by the partnership established with the Federal University of Parana in Brazil and Northwest A&F University in China.

The MSc EF programme is open to students and professionals from all countries. Minimum requirements for studying the MSc EF include a good level of English, and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in forestry, nature management or other related disciplines.

Next MSc European Forestry course (2011-2013)
The next MSc European Forestry course (2011-2013) will start in August 2011. The deadline for applications for all nationals is December 31th 2010. For more information about the content of the programme and the application procedure, visit the website of European Forestry. There you can also find details on the Erasmus Mundus scholarships that are provided for both non-European and European nationals.

Even when you don’t have access to a scholarship it is possible to participate in the European Forestry programme. Ask the programme director Forest and Nature Conservation, Gerrit Epema, for more information (msc.mfn@wur.nl).
